MEP Design
MEP Design &Engineering
We design HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm and ELV systems, from calculations to coordinated layouts and MEP BOQ, for contractors, developers and consultants in Qatar, the GCC and India.
What we deliver
Every deliverable, clearly scoped
HVAC heat load calculations
Cooling and heating loads worked out zone by zone from building, occupancy and equipment data.
Ducting and ventilation
Duct sizing, diffuser selection and layouts for supply, return, fresh air and exhaust.
Chilled water systems
Pipe sizing, pump and chiller selection data, and layouts for chilled and hot water networks.
Electrical load schedules
Connected and demand loads, panel schedules and cable sizing for the whole building.
Lighting design
Lighting layouts, fixture schedules and lux-level calculations for interior and external areas.
Power and single-line diagrams
Power layouts, distribution boards and single-line diagrams from incoming supply to final circuits.
Plumbing and water supply
Cold, hot and flushing water systems, tank and pump sizing, and riser diagrams.
Drainage and rainwater
Sanitary, storm and rainwater drainage layouts with pipe sizing and gradients.
Firefighting systems
Sprinkler, hose reel, hydrant and pump design, with hydraulic calculations to the applicable code.
Fire alarm systems
Detector and device layouts, zoning and cause-and-effect schedules.
ELV systems
CCTV, access control, data, public address and other low-voltage layouts and schematics.
Coordinated layouts and BOQ
Services coordinated across trades, with schematics, calculations and a matching MEP BOQ.
Every system, in place
An X-ray of the building
Behind the ceilings and inside the risers, five systems share the same few metres. We design each one on its own, then coordinate them so they fit.
Showing all systems
All systems, coordinated
Ducts, pipes, trays and cables share ceiling voids and risers. We coordinate the routes across trades before the drawings are issued.HVAC
The air handling unit and chiller on the roof, supply and return ducts down the risers, and diffusers in every ceiling, sized from the heat load.Plumbing and drainage
Water tank and booster pumps, cold water risers to each wet core, a soil and vent stack, and rainwater drainage out to the manhole.Electrical
Transformer and main distribution board, a riser to the distribution board on each floor, cable trays above the ceiling and lighting below it.Firefighting and fire alarm
Fire pump and tank, a wet riser, sprinkler mains and heads on every floor, with detectors, call points and a fire alarm panel.ELV
Data rack, a low-voltage riser, and the cabling to cameras and wireless access points for CCTV, access control and data.

How we work
From your drawings to handover
Send drawings and brief
Share architectural drawings, your brief and any client requirements on WhatsApp or email.
Scope and quote
We confirm the systems, governing codes and deliverables, then send a quote.
Calculate and design
Our engineers run the calculations and prepare schematics and layouts, with internal checks on every system.
Review and revisions
You or your consultant review the package. We revise for comments and authority requirements.
Handover in your formats
You receive drawings, calculations and BOQ in the formats you need, such as PDF, DWG or Excel.
Systems in motion
Air, water and power, in motion
A plan is only right if the flow is right. We size every duct, pipe and tray so air, chilled water and power arrive where they are needed, in the quantity they are needed.
Move your cursor over the plan and the flow nearby speeds up.Touch the plan and the flow nearby speeds up.
2,400L/s
Treated air leaves the AHU, runs the trunk duct and splits to the diffusers. Return air flows back to the AHU.
18.0L/s
A closed loop takes chilled water from the chiller past the fan coil units and returns it warmer.
410kW
The main distribution board feeds a cable tray run, with a tap to each local board.

In their words
What our clients say
All of our MEP technical support is handled by Carbon Blue Global — detailed design, drawings and BOQ. They have a great team in Qatar headed by Engineer Jubair: dynamic, flexible, and clearly complying with all our clients' demands.
Mohammed FerozOperations Manager, Ritz Serve Trading & Maintenance The highlight of CBG's team is that they always go over and beyond. They offer additional design suggestions to help us optimize cost and value for our customers — all our electromechanical design requirements were met perfectly.
Nasih AbdullaProject Manager, Sysidex We've been engaging CBG for MEP drafting for a while now. Their costs are very reasonable and improve our margins greatly. The team always delivers on schedule and is responsive — it feels like having employees in-house.

MEP Design · Questions
Straight answers
What MEP design services does CBG provide?
CBG designs HVAC, electrical, plumbing and drainage, firefighting, fire alarm and ELV systems. Each discipline comes with calculations, system schematics and coordinated layouts, and we prepare the MEP BOQ alongside. Our clients are contractors, developers and consultants in Qatar, the GCC and India.
Which countries and codes do you design to?
We design to the authority requirements of the project's country, plus accepted international standards. That includes Kahramaa and Qatar Civil Defence in Qatar, SBC in Saudi Arabia, DEWA and the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code in the UAE, and NBC in India, with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA and BS 7671.
Can you prepare the MEP BOQ with the design?
Yes. The same team that designs the systems prepares the MEP BOQ from the drawings, so quantities match the design. This helps contractors price and tender with fewer queries and keeps the BOQ in step with any revisions.
Do you coordinate MEP with structure and architecture?
Yes. We coordinate MEP layouts against the architectural and structural drawings, and issue coordinated layouts for site use. Where a project needs a 3D model and clash detection, our BIM team can take the design into Revit.
How do I get a quote for MEP design?
Send your architectural drawings and brief on WhatsApp to +974 7048 5638. Tell us which systems you need. We review the drawings, confirm the scope and codes, and send you a quote. You can also email info@carbonblueglobal.com.
